McLaren not aware of gearbox problem
McLaren had little warning that Lewis Hamilton's gearbox was about to fail in the Singapore Grand Prix - as it denied suggestions it knew of an issue heading into the race. Hamilton retired from the lead of the race on lap 23 at the Marina Bay circuit after finding himself unable to select a gear.
