NASCAR to continue racing in Canada?

When the NASCAR Nationwide Series left Montreal this year many people assumed it would be some time before Canada saw another event. That train of thought may not be entirely correct. The Montreal Journal reports that discussions have taken place between NASCAR and Circuit Trois-Rivieres.
According to the report the Nationwide Series could continue racing in Canada next season. A deal with Circuit Trois-Rivieres would likely draw many of the same fans who flocked to the race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve as the two tracks are little more then ninety miles apart.
The rumored race at Mosport may be a stretch as the track does not currently have necessary safety equipment. The Nationwide Series schedule for 2013 has not been released as multiple dates and venues are still unknown. NASCAR has also sought to include a road course in the Camping World Truck Series schedule for next year.
