Ott Tanak will return to the World Rally Championship next season. The Estonian driver, a former M-Sport protege, has secured a two-part programme that will incorporate all rounds of the series except for the season-opening Monte Carlo Rally. He will contest the WRC2 series in a two-car team of DMACK-shod Ford Fiesta R5s alongside Jari Ketomaa, plus Sweden, Portugal and Italy in an M-Sport Fiesta World Rally Car. “This is a great opportunity for me to come back to the WRC,” said Tanak, who was dropped by Malcolm Wilson at the end of 2012 following a poor run of results. “It gives me the chance to find my speed again and prove myself among the other top WRC drivers.” Tanak hinted that he had learned from previous mistakes. “We have [...]
