This year?s version of the worst kept secret is finally out.
Three hours before the green flag is set to drop at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Roush-Fenway Racing confirmed that Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99, will not return after the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.
Which left no one surprised. For months, it has been speculated that Carl Edwards would leave at the end of the season, even though at some points, it seemed as though he may re-sign with RFR.
While the NASCAR community has no idea where Edwards will end up in 2015, it is known that he will have a new home.
Greg Biffle and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. will continue driving their Fords respectively, while former Daytona 500 champion, Trevor Bayne will make his full-time return to Cup in the No. 6.
