About 350 pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists are killed each year by large trucks in this country. Big freight trucks are incompatible with cities in many ways, bringing danger, pollution, noise, and traffic congestion. They park in bike lanes [...]

Fantasy NASCAR Preview: Kansas - STP 400

Only 400 miles are set to be ran at Kansas Speedway on Sunday afternoon, meaning there will be 267 laps ran before the checkered flag falls on this season’s STP 400. It?s Your 2013 Exit Interview: No. 4 Kyle Busch

Welcome to From the Marbles' 2013 driver reviews. Here, we're going to critique, praise and bloviate about the top 30 drivers in the 2013 NASCAR season.

Hi Kyle, have you been near Kasey Kahne at all this offseason? He hasn't mentioned having to file any car insurance claims, so it seems the two of you have done a good job staying separated.

That was not the case at the beginning of the season. Poor Kasey. And poor you. We don't think all that contact was intentional anyway. It just happened to be with the same driver.

That win out of nowhere at California was a great start to the season and we had you penciled into the Chase after Texas. Because of those two wins and the two you accrued in the summer, we didn't have to worry about whether or not you'd make the Chase, but rather got to fast forward and worry about how you would do in the Chase. But this was worth a chuckle or three.

Many times the storyline that everyone says to look for turns out to be a supporting one or even a nonfactor. For you it was how you could survive Kansas Speedway. The trendlines said you wouldn't. And they were right.

Let's go back to that intentional crashing thing for a moment. What the heck was that with Brad Keselowski? Anyway, he did a great job of planting the seed of retribution in your head. Though you proved the next day that he wasn't going to need that seed to sprout. You had crashed again.

The separation at that point in the Chase meant that you only fell to fifth, but your title hopes were gone once again. We must wait again until the next season.

We have no doubt you'll be a force and win a race or three or four. But it's going to come back to that track in the middle of the country again. If you're going to need it off the Chase schedule to make a run, you may be waiting a while.

At this point, there isn't much we don't know about the 2015 BMW i8, so BMW is starting to focus its attention on reassuring consumers that the future of BMW won't abandon the past. In these two recently released videos, BMW answers questions prospective buyers might have about about the new model's design and performance.

The performance video aims to show that the plug-in hybrid can be fuel efficient while still delivering plenty of performance, and it shows an animation about how the i8's drive systems work together. Kubica holds Janner Rally lead

Robert Kubica ended a hard-fought first day of the Janner Rally leading the European Rally Championship season-opener. The Pole, who is contesting the event as a warm-up for his World Rally Championship programme with M-Sport, trailed early leader Kajetan Kajetanowicz at first. A right-front puncture on stage four then dropped Kubica back to fourth place, while veteran Raimund Baumschlager burst into the lead as he correctly gambled on taking studless tyres for the changeable conditions. Kajetanowicz crashed out on the sixth stage, leaving Baumschlager leading from a closing Vaclav Pech and Kubica. A change of gear ratios at the midday service backfired for Baumschlager, and by the end of the third of the leg’s four loops, he had dropped to third as Pech’s Mini hit the front. But Kubica had [...]
